Reflecting Back, Looking Forward

Queenstown by Sydney McDaniel

by Laurel Eisler

Ah, the end of another year. Bittersweet, isn’t it? It’s a time for reflection, a time for celebrating our accomplishments and learning from our mistakes and missed opportunities. It’s a time to start fresh, re-energize, and set goals for the year ahead. And for those of us who have been bitten by the travel bug, it’s a time for daydreaming about our international experiences and where we might go next.

As study abroad alumni, we are well aware of the impact studying abroad can have on an individual. From increasing global competence to acquiring language skills to paving the way for future international opportunities, studying abroad is an invaluable experience whose benefits far outweigh the costs. Just ask the authors of the articles in this edition of the Global Buffs Gazette!

It has been an exciting year full of positive change and accomplishment for CU Education Abroad, and we hope the same for you. We want to thank you for being a part of the education abroad community and for serving as champions of international education. Here’s to another year of global ambassadorship on our campus and in our community in 2019.
