Education Abroad program fees are billed to your CU Boulder Bursar Account. You will automatically receive an email to your colorado.edu email address when your Education Abroad program fees are billed. To view your program's cost before receiving your bill, refer to the Program Cost webpage.

Pro-Tip: Understanding Your Program Fee

The Education Abroad Program Fee is divided into two or three charges:
  • IC – Instructional Costs/Tuition
  • SA Non-Resident Fee IC – Non-Resident Fee (if applicable)
  • OT – Health Insurance plus Housing and Meals (if included in the program fee)
Education Abroad scholarships are generally applied as a credit rather than receiving a check; most scholarships are given as a reduction in the overall program fee. If you received an Education Abroad-specific scholarship, you will see it applied to your bill as 'IC-Adj' or 'Education Abroad Schlp-General' depending on the source of the scholarship funds.

Cancel for Any Reason Insurance

Education Abroad recommends that students carefully consider purchasing Cancel/Interrupt for Any Reason insurance after they have been accepted into an Education Abroad Program. Cancel/Interrupt for Any Reason (CFAR/IFAR) insurance can help safeguard an investment in an education abroad experience.
