Julie is the new Program Manager working with programs in Italy, the Czech Republic, and The Netherlands and the new Course Coordinator. She graduated from Kent State University with an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and from the University of Akron with a BBA in Marketing. While in her undergraduate program, Julie studied abroad in Sorrento, Italy, where she completed an internship with a local bed and breakfast. Julie has traveled throughout Europe and Egypt and is excited to help students study abroad!










Angie Chavez-Lopez:

Angie is the Coordinator for Access and Inclusion and Program Manager for programs in Spain and Latin America. She is bilingual, speaks Spanish fluently. Angie graduated from CU Boulder with her B.A. in Economics and a M.A. in Educational Foundations, Policy, & Practice. She was a first-generation student and thought studying abroad was IMPOSSIBLE!  However, after working with students during her time as a professional in Financial Aid, the Bursar's office and now Education Abroad office, she wants to ensure students are aware that it can be POSSIBLE to get the experience of a lifetime. 




Alma Hegic

Alma is the new Finance and Accounting Specialist in the Education Abroad Office. After completing her freshmen year pursuing an economics major in Bosnia, she moved to the USA in hopes for a better life and future. She has lived in the USA for the past 12 years, has two beautiful kids, spends weekends hiking the Colorado mountains, and loves baking delicious pastries and cookies.  Her past travel experiences include Croatia, Italy, and Spain.  She enjoys supporting CU students as they experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of studying abroad.
