Prague is the most amazing city. The Czech are very kind and friendly to everyone, not to mention the food, buildings, and rich musical history. I loved my courses because they challenged me to think in a way that is different from the American Educational System. My program, ISA, planned many volunteer events, social gatherings, and excursions to the countryside, Germany, and Austria. In my book, studying abroad is mandatory for those who want to learn about themselves, expand their cultural horizons, and enter the professional world.

Prague is a great place to study. There is so much to do and so easy to get to other places around Prague within and outside of the Czech Republic. The course load is not heavy at all so it is easy to take advantage of your surroundings.

Prague is the place to study abroad. No questions asked. There is no better city to spend 4 months of your life in. It is beyond beautiful, historical, cheap and most of all fun. I could write a novel on the experience that I had while over there. While abroad you tend to travel most weekends. Prague is a great central location that keeps you off of the Euro for the majority of your time, saving you potentially thousands of dollars. VSE (University of Economics) is a wonderful program that immerses you into a real Czech university. Everyone else at the school is Czech, meaning you get the full experience outside of your program. My housing was directly across the street from school making it easy to get to class. They are very flexible when it comes to making your class schedule. I took five courses and had class Monday through Wednesday, giving me plenty of long weekends to enjoy in Prague and other countries. The program offers a number of free [included in tuition] excursions to Munich, Karlovy Vary, Vienna, and Budapest. Take advantage of all of these weekends as all of those cities are amazing. Daniela, Lucy, and Martin are the ISA representatives in Prague. They are readily available at all times to answer any of your questions or give a guiding hand in any problems that you are having throughout your stay.
My housing was very nice and accommodating compared to most student housing. I had my own room and a full bed provided while still having 3 other roommates. Don't be shocked when you get there and realize that some of the daily things that we take for granted are not present there. Drying machine, real showers, free water and nice customer service are not provided. Along with those things, I will not lie the language barrier can be a little shocking. Try not to be the loud Americans as the Czech society is much more reserved on public transportation and in restaurants. Educated college students and business people will speak English relatively well, but other than that it is a toss up. The city is extremely safe as I had no problems whatsoever. Don't listen to all the talk about gypsy's and theft. Be careful with your belongings and be aware no matter where you go. Take all of the little nuances of Prague and enjoy them. It's without a doubt the best decision you can make.

The courses were more difficult than expected but the professors were very knowledgable. Location was great, just a five minute walk from school and right next to a metro stop so I could get basically everywhere very quickly. Locals were not as rude or scary as many people say they can be.

My classes all had very light course work throughout the semester and were for the most part interesting. The biggest challenge was the language barrier. Even though the professors all spoke English, it was sometimes difficult to have questions answered, but that wasn't a big deal. Prague is a beautiful city and there is much to be seen within the city itself. The Czech countryside is also extremely beautiful and worth visiting. Prague is also very easy to travel from to other European countries. My housing was ideal as well. We all lived in four person apartments around the city. The locals were great! Sometimes unfriendly at first, but if you put the effort in to try and communicate them (i.e. learning and using Czech language) they respond very well. My friendships with other Czech students through the buddy program was a defining part of my experience. I am so glad that I was able to spend so much time with them. Public transport is incredible!!! The excursions were so-so. We went to cool cities, but any time you travel with 50+ people, it takes some opportunity away from the experience. I volunteered with once a week. I met with a Czech man who wanted to polish his English skills, so we would just meet for an hour or so and talk and have coffee. Very rewarding. I felt it was the least I could do to give back to this wonderful city and its people.

I enjoyed the excursions that our program offered. Our program offered plenty of excursions and group activities so there was always something to do on the weekends if I wasn't traveling. Being able to have our own apartment was great. Although the location of the apartment was further from the school and the main town, there were plenty of metros and trams that took us where we needed to go.

The courses compared to ours are pretty easy. The location is amazing and everything is inexpensive. I never had a bad interaction with a local they were all nice and willing to help! The excursions were all very fun I would recommend going on them!

The courses were more difficult than I expected but very interesting. The location of Prague is perfect. It was so cheap to be able to travel to all of the surrounding countries. There was a large amount of interaction with locals which really helped me gain a full-immersion experience. This was more than studying abroad but also living abroad and adapting to local lifestyles. The excursions were amazing! We went to Berlin and Vienna. The trips were scheduled, and included both time for us to do activities on our own and also seeing major sites.

Courses were extremely easy. All A'certainly within reach. Expect a project, essay, final, and attendance to be about 25% each for your overall grade.
Prague is easily my favorite city, great place to study.
Locals are little more reserved than other Europeans and the language is hard, but the women are beautiful!
Take as many trips as possible.

If I had to do everything over again, I would pick Prague again in a heartbeat. It is a beautiful city filled with history, nightlife, and tons to do. Prague will always be one of my favorite cities in the world and it is also ver affordable and has great beer. ISA is an awesome program with the best staff. The staff does everything they can to make your semester amazing and the program takes you on some awesome excursions around the Czech Republic and some other countries.

My courses were perfect. They would not allow us to have class on Friday, which made traveling much easier. They give you a decent amount of choices for classes too! The location of Prague is amazing. It is central in Europe, so traveling is easy and cheap. Prague is absolutely perfect! The interactions with locals can be hard to make, but luckily the program sets you up with a Czech buddy, who will help you with almost everything you need. The excursions this program took us on were really neat! We are given two free out-of-country excursions which is more than a lot of programs do. The excursions in the Czech Republic are really amazing as well and I strongly suggest people doing them.

The program directors were so nice and so helpful. They definitely made the program better. The excursions were a great way to see additional parts of the country we wouldn't otherwise be able to travel to. Teachers were nice and open to meeting outside of the classroom hours.

I lived in a fully furnished flat and had no issues. I took the tram and metro on a daily basis with ease.

Activities were available every week through my program, they allowed us to go all around the city seeing things that we might not have found on our own. In addition, they offered excursions by bus frequently throughout the semester - I got to go to Berlin, Vienna, Cesky Krumlov, and Karvlovy Vary with ISA and they were wonderfully organized trips. I also was able to volunteer my time working with pre-school students near the end of the semester, the ISA team offered tailored community service opportunities to each student as long as they were committed to showing up to volunteer more than once or twice.
