Scholarship Terms

To receive your scholarship you must meet the following terms and obligations which differ slightly depending on the award you received.

For Buffs Abroad Scholarships, you are expected to:

• participate fully in the academic and social life of your host city and university or program;
• complete the entire education abroad program;
• submit the evaluation of your program once it is complete (via your MyCUAbroad portal);
• attend the orientation for your program upon return to campus to help orient outbound students;
• maintain a full load of courses;
• submit at least 10 photos from your time abroad;
• complete any additional requirements for your specific scholarship, such as a thank-you letter. If applicable, this is described in the item on your checklist entitled "READ NOW: Scholarship Amount and Information".

For Global Intensive Scholarships, including First-Year Global Intensives, you are expected to:

• participate fully in the academic and social life of your host city and university or program;
• complete the entire education abroad program;
• submit the evaluation of your program once it is complete (via your MyCUAbroad portal)

For CU in D.C. Scholarships, you are expected to:

• participate fully in the academic and social life of your host city and program;
• complete the entire program;
• submit the evaluation of your program once it is complete (via your MyCUAbroad portal);
• attend the orientation for your program upon return to campus to help orient outbound students;
• maintain a full load of courses;
• submit at least 10 photos from your time abroad;
• complete any additional requirements for your specific scholarship, such as a thank-you letter. If applicable, this is described in the item on your checklist entitled "READ NOW: Scholarship Amount and Information" and an email you received.

If you violate any of the above conditions, you may be asked pay back all or a portion of the scholarship.

The scholarship award will be credited to the program fee charged to your CU Boulder bill for the appropriate term. If changes in your financial circumstances occur after the initial confirmation of your eligibility, your scholarship could be affected. You will need to notify the Office of Financial Aid and the Education Abroad office of such changes as soon as possible to avoid or minimize any inconvenience.
